A blacksmith, a carpenter, a costume and stage designer, a musician and a performer came together to create this piece. Set in the old papermill in Fengersfors, Sweden, we collided and combined our various disciplines to explore the history of the factory.We took an interest in questions of context and community, labour and meaning, the transition from working collectives to individual entrepreneurship. Using interviews with people who  experienced the rise and fall of the papermill, board documents from the archives, music specifically composed for this piece, five bodies in streamlined uniforms, iron sculptures, a massive music mill producing pumping mechanical beats and bird song. And, naturally, the space where it all took place.
Resultatet became a writing of history, a remembrance, celebration and requiem over a deeply local and widely global destiny. About the search to serve a purpose and the loneliness of being a cut off cog.
